What is a reasonable price ?
The price you pay usually
depends upon one thing: how complex your tax return is. In most cases
though, and with sophisticated tax preparation software, the tax
preparer merely enters data into the computer and the computer program
selects the multiple forms needed to prepare a tax return. The fee will
increase as the number of forms pop-up on the computer screen and the
sound of a cash-register going cha-ching, cha-ching, cha-ching can be
heard. Why pay excessive fees when the program does most of the work?
What's included?
Retail and independent tax offices tend to
charge about the same for tax preparation, while CPA firms often charge
more. Tax preparation fees should include:

Electronic filing and Direct Deposit
(not “rapid refunds”, they have excessive fees. (Note: Normal
E-filing turn around time is 7-10 working days or less)

Extra copies of the return

Consultation before and after your taxes
are prepared
FLP Tax service will include the above plus:

Paperless copy of your return on a CD
for easy storage and transmitting (to your mortgage broker, etc)

education book.
All States:
We prepare taxes for all
states.

We use professional tax preparation
software (Drake Tax Software) that gives us the necessary tax forms
needed to complete all federal and state tax returns; and Electronic
Filing capabilities for both Federal and State tax returns.

Our membership in the NATP (National
Association of Tax Professionals) gives us access to NATP state tax
volunteer support, if individual state tax question assistance is
needed.
